My career has taken me across stages, boardrooms, and studios – all in pursuit of a fairer balance of power. I have advocated to governments, spoken at UN Women and APEC summits, and managed musicians to re-record Give Peace a Chance in tribute to John Lennon, the legendary artist and peace activist.
I founded the first Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry to support self-employed women and later completed a PhD examining international women’s rights law. Whatever the setting, my objective has remained the same: to open doors for women, and make equality more of a habit and less of a slogan.

Writer
I began writing when the hormones begun to change – a teenager who wanted to be a poet and pondered mortality, thanks to the bullies at a new school in a foreign country.
At university, while studying journalism, I discovered the power of language. Since then, I have written for diverse audiences: interviewed artists such as Pink, entrepreneurs like Lorna Jane, and leaders at every level.
I have written on the need for better childcare policies, drafted constitutions that mandated the exclusion of the word ‘women’ and completed a PhD examining how to eliminate sex-based discrimination. In Sex, Policy and Power, I explore women’s shared experiences across the world. I hope you enjoy some of my words.
Researcher
My PhD research examined International Women’s Rights Law and involved qualitative interviews with prime ministers, foreign affairs ministers, and attorneys general, employing the Appreciative Inquiry Method to understand how laws support women. Analysed through co-evolution and state feminist lenses, my findings highlight the pervasive dominance of patriarchy and the persistent inequalities that marginalise women globally. As my research progresses, I am increasingly aware of the acute imbalance of power based on sex. While the patriarchal grip on power remains deeply concerning, it also strengthens my resolve to advocate for change across four major determinants: health, education, economic opportunity, and political representation. My advocacy and research aim to balance power dynamics and ensure women have equal opportunities.

Speaker
I have been calling out injustices for several decades, sharing a consistent message with anyone willing to listen – on national and international platforms, from St Petersburg to San Francisco, and from Madrid to Melbourne. We must all recognise the value of women, elevate women for what they bring to communities, highlight their economic contribution as the largest consumer group, and affirm their capacity to succeed against all odds. My call to action is clear: “Buy from women, vote for women and support the sisterhood!”
Educator
Lecturing tertiary students, I am recognised for my exceptional and innovative teaching style. I use personal stories, and real-life case studies, to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Often incorporating humour, I aim to spark curiosity in learners, inspiring them to reach their highest potential. I empower future generations to tackle real-world challenges with critical thinking, confidence, and insight, reminding them that communication is the most powerful currency.
